He tore his ACL and is out for the season. It is more psychologically damaging because he doesn't know if he will ever play football again and he keeps wanting to play through it even though he can't.
Chapter 11
1. Chapter 11 develops the rivalry between Odessa and Midland. Highlight the points that stick out in your mind. What were their more glaring similarities and differences?
The main similarities are that both towns were grown out of the west Texas Oil fields and have the boom or bust oil economy. Some differences are that the people in Midland are good people that follow the rules and Odessa is a rebellious place.
